With its attractive value-proposition, the Nexon EV is leading the way as the best-selling electric car in India. Currently, Tata Motors leads the EV segment with 64 per cent market share. The entire Nexon family together – petrol, diesel and electric – has touched a total sales tally of 1,64,734 units.

Tata Nexon EV has three variants-  XM, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX. The electric SUV is also available in three attractive color options- Moonlight silver, Signature Teal Blue and Glacier White. The top variant comes in dual tone colors, while XM gets only one color. The vehicle gets the benefits of a health monitoring system with new technologies, which helps a lot in health alerts, diagnostics, and health alert updates.

These were in exact figures but the company does say that the motor has been tested for over one million Km, and running cost amount 1 per km which is about 1/5 that of a conventional IC engine car.

  • Before plugging your charging cable into the socket, check for any glitches like exposed wires, cracks, cuts, etc.
  • An external power source or on-board charge port should not be exposed to rain or water, especially during charging. Never touch the charging point with a wet hand.
  • Always make sure that your Tata Nexon electric car is parked at a safe place and the park brake is applied
  • Never use an adapter or extension cord to charge your Tata Nexon Electric Car. 
  • After charging your Tata Nexon electric car, turn off the power supply button before removing the charging cable from the socket. First remove the charging cable then the car charge port.
  • Never submerge the control box in water or handle it incorrectly, and never place a heavy object on top of it
  • Keep your Tata Nexon car safe,Ensure that the power source is provided with proper earthing, overvoltage protection and an earth line leakage circuit breaker (ELCB).
  • Never put your finger inside the charge point in any situation.
  • Apply a dust cap on the charging cable and charging socket after use. Wrap the charging cable and place it in its box behind the back seat
  • Allowing people with medically implanted electrical devices near your car can be harmful and more so while the car is charging
  • Always try that the car battery is fully charged
  • Always handle the charging cable with full precautions, never knot, pull or step the charging cable.
  • While charging, keep your child away from the power supply point and from the on-board website
